Electro-Acupuncture therapy uses the same specific points on the body as traditional Acupuncture. It is used to treat a variety of conditions such as chronic pain, sports injuries, spasms and in some cases weight loss. Electrodes are attached to acupuncture needles and a small current runs through the focused points vibrating and stimulating the area being treated. Electro-Acupuncture promotes the flow of Qi and blood, relieving pain, warming muscles and aids the realignment of muscles fibres and removal of stasis. Electro-acupuncture is not recommended during pregnancy, if you experience seizures, epilepsy or if you have a pacemaker.
